David Fry, CEO
David started his career at PwC, where he trained as an accountant, before becoming a business consultant. David then moved to PA Consulting Group for 10 years, where he was a partner in its Government Business, advising on developing new business and partnerships between the public and private sector.
David has been a director of several healthcare companies, advised on social enterprise and innovation, and is an associate of the Social Research Unit, an independent charity dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of children.
Whilst at Brain in Hand, David has taken the company from early product concepts through rigorous market testing, to commercial launch. David continues to work closely with the Department of Health, leading Autism organisations and an abundance of individuals to ensure the company stays close to its vision and continues to deliver solutions that meets the market’s needs.
Steve Page, Non-Executive Chairman
Steve has had a successful career in both the NHS as the CEO of Oxleas NHS Trust, a large mental health and community services Trust in South London, and in the private sector as a CEO of a number of businesses providing health, social care and education to the NHS and local government. He now works as an independent Chair/Non-executive director to a number of companies providing innovative and quality services. He holds an MBA from London Business School.
Adrian Humphreys, Non-Executive Director
Adrian has spent most of his career in the health insurance sector running the Corporate Business Group at Western Provident Association. Before this he worked for Arthur D. Little Inc., the global management consultancy firm. He has held a number of non-executive and Trustee posts particularly focussed on healthcare and small business innovation. He holds an MBA from Cranfield and a PhD in the field of Chemical Physics.
Marek Gumienny, Non-Executive Director
Marek has substantial experience in Private Equity, during which time he has successfully invested in and exited a number of companies across many sectors, geographies and economic cycles. Previously managing director of Candover Partners and Arle Capital, he is a founder member of 24 Haymarket group and brings significant financial and strategic experience to the board.
John Clarke, Non-Executive Director
John is a Partner in EY. Prior to this role, he was senior adviser at the Boston Consulting Group, Global CIO and Senior Vice President at Nokia, Global CTO at Tesco, Independent Board Director and a member of the independent assurance panel on the government identity passport scheme, plus other roles at Accenture, Digital and BT. A wealth of experience working in the Digital, Mobile and MedTech space. He holds an MBA from WBS, and a BSc Hons from UKC in Systems Engineering.
James Morgan, Non-Executive Director
James was one of the founding partners of management consultants Morgan Harris Burrows. James has helped small and start-up companies in Biotechnology and other sectors. He was a founder trustee and chairman of the Autism Diagnostic Research Centre in Southampton, and was a founding director of Brain in Hand. He was earlier a senior partner in Ernst & Young, responsible for the firm’s business in the public sector, including health and local government.
Elaine Simpson, Non-Executive Director
Elaine has a long career in UK education, within the public, third sector and private sector, including a FTSE100 company. She is currently chair of the National Children’s Bureau, a governor of Staffordshire university and chair of the Slough Children’s services Trust as well as NED on two education based private equity backed companies.
