Cornwall Council has invested in innovative technology to help people become more confident and live more independently.
BBC News recently featured the story of Cornish BiH user Fran, for whom Brain in Hand has meant an increased ability to complete day-to-day tasks without needing as much support. As a result, Fran’s confidence has grown: it’s an important step towards the goal of one day living completely independently.
Reducing Fran’s requirements for care has also been a huge win for Cornwall Council; facing a shortage in support workers, helping people to become more independent means that they can focus their staff’s time and resources where it’s most needed.
