Information for prospective investors

Brain in Hand Ltd is a rapidly growing company with true commercial and social worth.

An investment in us not only helps us to make a real difference to real lives, but also provides an opportunity to be involved in an exciting commercial business which has seen exceptional growth year-on-year and continues to expand its reach in new and existing markets.

Investors must be either institutional or high-net-worth, sophisticated individual investors.

Why invest?

The cost of problems such as mental health difficulties and autistic spectrum conditions to the UK is estimated to be over £150 billion per year, and around one in four people is expected to be personally affected in their lifetime.

Three-quarters of those who need help – millions of people – never get it. Brain in Hand addresses this unmet need: combining technology, human support, and expertise in various sectors, we make it possible for more people to support themselves independently and for more services to operate high-quality, sustainable programmes.

We are a commercial business, selling licences to end users (via private purchase or funding streams including the Department for Education and the Department for Work and Pensions) and to organisational clients who use our system to help them support people more effectively.

Over 2,500 people across the UK use Brain in Hand to help them organise their time, manage anxiety, remember things, or solve practical problems; we have over 40 commercial customers including health and social care teams within local authorities or the NHS, universities, charities, and private support providers. These numbers increase each year, and our ambitious expectations for revenue growth have thus far been equalled or exceeded.

Brain in Hand qualifies under the Enterprise Initiative Scheme (EIS) which provides tax relief for individual investors against their original investment and any profits, (or losses) that are made. For further information, see the Government’s page on the scheme here.

Hear from David Fry, Executive Board Director, about Brain in Hand as a business.

This video was recorded for the Venturefest North West Programme in September 2018, on which Brain in Hand was a finalist; at this time, David Fry was our CEO and we were preparing to commence work on the NHS Digital Accelerator programme.

David is now Executive Board Director, responsible for investment and major sales, and continues to work closely with CEO Louise Morpeth. The film gives a good introduction to our business and our values.
